Free Spirt Bridesmaids & Page Boys: Inspiration for your big day

42

Those of you who follow us here at Blogizing know we like to write about things which we like.  Festival Brides has been a favourite of ours for some time and today they have really got us excited.  We love new things, new ideas and new concepts. So when we saw their feature for bridesmaids and page boys based on the film ‘Wild Things’  we could not contain our excitement…we only wish we had an alternative wedding to cater for!

“The key to this look, however you decide to embark upon it, is for your little people to look a little dishevelled. No over styled hair, just a hint of sparkle and earthy, natural toned clothing. They should look like they belong in that woodland and most of all they should look comfortable, enjoying the rusty crown you’ve placed on their head, or embodying the lost boy spirit of their tribal painted face. Don’t force it, find something they’ll love and you’ll have yourself a seriously happy, free-spirited mini bridal party.”  Festival Brides

The inspiration for these outfits has been taken from the Lost Boys of Peter Pan and Where The Wild Things Are, we think they are amazing.  Any festival lover enjoys dressing up and being able to take inspiration from this style and add it to your own amazing day is a dream come true for us.  Let your children have fun and play out their favourite characters and have lots of fun.  A much better alternative to being stuffed into a big, heavy frilly dress or suit we say!

Alternative Proposal: Review

Are you planning on proposing some time this year but not sure how to do it?  Are you looking for something different other than he standard get down on one knee? Are you unsure if they will say ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ and for this reason would like to put off buying the ring until you are sure? (OK, so this last question is not ideal, but lets be honest it happens…..)

Whilst browsing the internet this morning I found this charming necklace, It can be personalised with any message you wish.  However, I thought it was perfect with the message ‘Marry Me.’  How cute, and what a great keepsake (if they said yes, of course!). There is a mini version (which is the one shown above) at a cost of £49, with the standard size costing £68-£80 depending upon whether you choose the gold or silver option.

We would be more than happy to be proposed in this way.  Gone are the days of ‘down on one knee’ holding an Elizabeth Duke velveteen ring box.  You need to stand out from the crowd and make a proposal that your chosen lady will remember for time.  However you decide to do it, this would be a great addition.

Boho Wedding

I am not likely to be getting married any time soon, bearing in mind I am not even in a committed relationship.  However, when I do get married this time I will be wearing a dress that I actually want to wear.  So it got me thinking about what I would wear and I decided to have a look and see what was around.  This is what I decided on:

This is totally my style and if I had to have one made for myself I would have described something very similar to this. Luckily I have a similar figure and hair so I should just get away with it!

I have to admit my style icon is Kate Moss and I came across her wedding photographs whilst perusing the thousands of images.  This picture really made me think I would love to have a long veil for the ceremony.

I also love how all the bridal party are dressing in white.  It  really looks amazing and so different from the usual weddings where you are normally told not to wear white clothing so as to not upstage the bride.

I recently attended a wedding where the bride and groom asked all the guests to wear red and ivory.  The wedding pictures looked amazing so I reckon I would love to go down the same theme and ask the guests to wear a certain colour to tie in with the overall colour theme, that way you could have the decorations as simple and minimum.
